Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. They apply to every booking made with HSG Movers (“we,” “us,” “HSG”) and set out what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you, so your move goes smoothly. By booking with us — whether by phone, online, or in person — you agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions
- “Agreement” means these Terms and Conditions together with your Quote and Booking Confirmation.
- “Booking Confirmation” means the details we send or confirm with you — date, crew size, truck, and Price — once your move is booked.
- “Goods” means the items you ask us to move.
- “Price” means the hourly rate or fixed fee agreed for your move, plus any additional charges properly incurred under this Agreement.
2. Our Services
- Home and office removals across Adelaide and interstate.
- Specialty item removals, including pianos, pool tables, antiques, and fine art.
3. Booking & Acceptance
You accept these Terms when you confirm a booking by phone, email, or online form, pay a deposit, or instruct us to proceed with your move. We recommend confirming details in writing before moving day.
4. Fees, Payment & Chargeable Time
- Standard Rates: $110/hr for a 2-person crew with a 4.5-tonne truck, or $135/hr for a 3-person crew with a 4.5-tonne truck.
- Chargeable Time: Starts when our truck arrives at your first pickup address and ends when the job is complete at the final address.
- Payment: Due on completion of the move, before the crew leaves your final address, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as early as possible. If we need to reschedule on our end, we will give you as much notice as possible.
6. Liability & Insurance
Our liability is governed by the Australian Consumer Law. We take genuine care with every item. If we damage property through our negligence, our liability is limited to making good the specific item or area affected. HSG Movers does not currently hold goods-in-transit or public liability insurance; customers are responsible for arranging their own insurance for high-value items.
7. Goods We Cannot Transport
Unless agreed in writing beforehand, do not include illegal goods, dangerous or flammable items (gas bottles, paint), plants, perishable items, or cash and small valuables.
8. Access & Awkward Conditions
Please ensure our crew has clear, safe access and legal parking at both properties. Awkward access (tight stairs, long carries) may extend chargeable time.
9. Reporting Damage
Please check your belongings and let our crew know about any damage before they leave your final address, or contact us the same day.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia.
